Countdown to Lotus Connections 1.0.2 and Support for Domino LDAP!

Lotus Connections 1.0.2 is coming soon, according to the Software  Announcement posted today, 1.0.2 will be available for download on November 16.  While some of what is listed as new has been around since the 1.0.1 release (pilot install, and plug-ins for Notes, Sametime, Office, etc…) there are significant changes in supported Client and Server Operating systems, as well as LDAP Directory support. Most significantly is that Domino LDAP 7.0.2 and 8.0 are supported !!!!, in addition on the server side there is now support for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 on Intel and AIX.  For the client there is not support for Vista, and Macintosh OS X 10.4.8 (which I guess will disappoint those who have upgraded to Leopard). Here is an excerpt from the announcement marked up to indicate which items are newly supported in 1.0.2 A picture named M2 T-10 days….. and counting.

Why does Connections care which version of Windows I’m running? As long as I’m running a particular rev of a browser, why am I not just good to go?
