Adding Two Factor Authentication to IBM Connections Cloud

Yes, it’s true 🙂

When I looked at the schedule for IBMConnectED, there was one session that was a can’t miss.  Steve McDonagh was talking about adding Two Factor Authentication to IBM Connections Cloud.   If you know me, you know I do a lot of work with IBM Connections Cloud and I am obsessed with two factor authentication, of course I had a conflict and could not be there, so with the help of Devin I managed to get a video of the session which Steve was nice enough to let me publish.

On a side note, if IBM Connections Cloud and two factor authentication is of no interest to you, consider watching the first 5 minutes regardless it’s brilliant,

Check out Steve’s Blog for more on Two Factor Authentication with IBM Connections Cloud

    Mitch,
I also like Connections Cloud in combination wit 2FAuth and/or SAML.
But I would prefer that IBM would provide this IDM/SSO solutions as a cloud offfering.

At the moment we use OneLogin, and I knwo that other IBM partners are testing Okta in combination with Connections Cloud.

Microsoft offers Azure Active Directory Premium in combination with Office365 (but the Microsoft Office Mobile Apps do not provide 2Factor Authentication)
But one vendor for both SAAS collaboration and SAAS IDM/SSO is most prefered.

So ideal would be that IBM would soon buy either Okta or Onelogin or Pingfederate and offer this in combination with IBM Connections Cloud

    Erik Vos,

By the way the presentation was great ! but I am not looking for on-premise solutions anymore. I am only looking for Saas solutions from large vendors.
