Setting the record straight

During Lotusphere I blogged this photo of Mike Rhodin wearing a Giants hat, A picture named M2

it was also included in my presentation at “The Customer Speaks” session on Tuesday, where I had already declared the Patriots final record to be 18-1.

During Lotusphere many people were of the belief that I photoshopped the hat on his head, and again today I received numerous comments about this picture and it’s validity.

So to set the record straight the photo is real, and the history goes back a year.  At Lotusphere 2007 I met Mike Rhodin at the Notes/Domino 8 Managed Beta/Design Partner reception, and had my photo taken with him, so this year when I saw him at the IBM Customer Reception on Monday night decided to get another picture with him, and at the last second grabbed my giant hat, and put it on him.

Another thing you should know is that I am not even close to being talented enough with Photoshop or any other editing software to have staged this.  Now I realize that the hat is not straight which is why many people thought it was fake, well the reason for that is Mike Rhodin is much taller then me, I had to stretch to get the hat on his head,  In case you are wondering, what he had to say about this, his reaction was “This is going to wind up on a blog somewhere isn’t it”.

I think people believed the hat was real, they wondered if you photoshopped Mike Rhodin into the photo of a hat Emoticon

Mitch, Congrats to you and your team, even though they beat mine. They played one hell of a game. I can say without remorse that better team won last night.
