The Lotusphere 2009 breakout session lineup has been posted here. I will be presenting two sessions at Lotusphere Show302: “Getting Your Feet Wet with IBM Lotus Connections” with Chris Whisonant of Lotus 911 who is responsible for building and administering bleedyellow.com. Don’t let the title fool you we will doing a lot more then getting our feet wet, we will be installing and configuring a complete Connections environment in less then two hours on stage Abstract: If you’re a Lotus Domino admin, there is no reason to be intimidated by Lotus Connections. Let us take you from a single-server Lotus Domino environment up to a full, integrated Lotus Connections 2.0 implementation, in less time that it takes to watch a movie. You’ll be provided with step-by-step instructions to build your own environment, giving you the valuable skills needed to launch Lotus Connections inside your own organization. ID105 “What Were They Thinking? When UX Design Collides with Reality” With John Lance who is a member of the Notes Design team. John and I are hoping this presentation goes a lot better then the last thing we tried together, but we think the fact that there is no possibility of either of us drowning this time is a pretty good start. Abstract: Come and hear both sides of the user experience story. An IBM User Experience designer and a dedicated customer compare notes about various user experiences that met, or exceeded, the designer’s expectations when introduced to users in the real world, as well as a few that, umm, did not. John and I are looking for some user input in to this session, please check out John’s blog post for details, and how to participate (anonymously or with attribution your choice)
