Technote 1366443 Error indexing profiles from Home page search published today addresses an issue with Profiles being indexed in Global Search when users have Tags added to their profiles.
In the SystemOut.log file, you will see the following entry when Home page search is indexing Profiles: IIndexingProc E com.ibm.lotus.connections.dashboard.search.index.impl.IIndexingProcessImpl indexProcess CLFRQ0214E: Error Indexing component Profiles for Home page search. com.ibm.search.connections.UnifiedIndexerException: java.lang.NullPointerException: value cannot be null
TheTechnote contains a Jar file to download and replace on the server to correct this issue.
Resolving the problem To fix this issue, the file lc.search.seedlist.plugin.profiles.jar located in the following directory should be backed up: WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\installedApps\
